Clara Fergus delivers at the GC Marathon
The Trust are delighted they were able to support Clara Fergus in her bid to go under 2 hours 50 minutes at the Gold Coast marathon. Clara had a great race with a time of 2.47.00 and a placing of 21st female. She certainly achieved her goal and we are thrilled for her.
Clara reported back to the Trust on the event saying "Gold Coast Mara was a run where things finally felt like they came together. I had an enjoyable run where I felt strong, free and smooth until about 34km when the pain started to kick in. Head down, and felt nice to still be picking runners down despite the effort redlining. The event was incredibly well run, conditions were perfect and my nutrition was on point. I managed an 8 minute PB, 3 mins ahead of target time and with a pleasing negative split in the second half."
